In the earlier Styllogy classes, all my gorgeous girls have seen- skulls, studs and spikes, from neon, sequin and floral to mullet hem and arm party, so spring - summer '12 has offered a lot of new and distinguished fashion. But my ladies thats not all ! Spring - summer 2012  is not just about the new but the come back of the old as well. So any guesses who's back ? A two volume Styllogy lesson back to back and this time the comeback maker is BACKLESS !

From the red carpets to the streets, backless is becoming popular each passing fashionable day. Celebrities such as Rihanna, Adriana Lima, Blake Lively, Kate Hudson, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Jennifer Lopez, Gwyneth Paltrow etc. just love their backless dresses.

Back less is the new definition of sexy, subtle. A trend which you can carry of with easy self confidence and panache! After all its unlike the often tacky and consciences cleavage act. Hey Chicas!

Since I have landed on Indian soil everything about here is so colourful and over the top which inspired our last week’s lesson on Neon (Styllogy 103: "Style Pixels") and this week too the inspiration continues which brings us to FashionHD !

The colors accompanies the shiny and dazzling. 
The beautiful Indian bride dressed in an enormous anarkali Indian dress with sequin and gotta patti flowing through every bit of fabric like a bodice, her gorgeous gold jewelry especially the manga tikka and chunky hand cuffs, making her look like an epitome of an Indian Goddess.

The groom with the crisp and bright turban perfectly jeweled with uncut diamonds making it the perfect crown and the groom, the perfect owner of the Goddess' heart. All the relatives and friends dazzling with beautiful and overflowing joy and laughter.

Thanks to my Indian friends who took me, I got to witness this fabulous and larger than life Indian wedding last week and also a big thank you to my minions for all the correct names and insight on Indian wear and jewelry.

All things bright and wonderful- sequin, stones, gotta patti, the beautiful, exquisite gold and uncut diamond jewelry and various hems of anarkalis, which I happen to see all at one place at this Indian traditional wedding. All this SEQUIN BLING, HEMS AND JEWELRY reminded me of three very sought after trends for spring summer 2012. To be honest, India inspires me and confuses me at the same time! Are these trends inspired from Indian fashion or still nascent to India, you had it all this while yet, unaware! But no fear when Coco is here ! ‘Crazy Ashish!’ as vogue describes Indian born designer Ashish Gupta who is showcasing his collection in London fashion week since 2004. A graduate from College of Art, Delhi, his forte- SEQUIN and ONLY SEQUIN! Ashish reinvents (again & again & again) the application of sequin in his every collection. Reinvention!- What’s difficult for every other designer is an easy task for Ashish. From every flower in the horticulture to the Budha and spikes, Ashish does it all but only with sequin. Hence bling, shimmer and shine all the way, always! Personal favourite of songstress Katty Perry, Madonna and Beyonce, Sarah Jessica Parker, Victoria Beckham and Lilly Allen , Ashish's last three collections are regulars at Top Shop. Here’s a look chicas at his spring 2012 collection.

The white dress is the best pick for an elegant yet shimmer night out and on the contrary the black dress with roses is for the hot saucy look (Angeline Jolie should have gone for this one for her 15 minute fame right leg show!) and these shorts, the perfect oopmh for the summer !

Hey gorgeous chicas !

How is the acme hot weather treating you? Ask me and I'll say its an Antarctica like icy sangria at Sevilla, Hotel Clariges, New Delhi, India. An ambiance like Sevilla can just morph into a cool day at a beach during Delhi's hot summer! Well, I'm sure this would describe my latest excursion to the hotspots of Delhi.

As far as today’s lesson is concerned, I think it’s more of a hit on the head. Its known how things that occur in our daily lives become a big part of our sub-conscience but we don’t even realise it and had it all this while. So tell me what comes to your mind when I say people drenched in pink, red, yellow colors? A beautiful bride dressed in hot pink or coral Indian attire? A drive down India gate in the mid of the night for a colour filled icy gola treat? Or Bollywood movie super star Govinda dressed in bright yellow pants, hot pink shirt and an electric blue scarf ? All these say one thing loud- INDIA and its culture BUT I say NEON ! Indian culture and people are so colorful and bright that I feel both are synonymous to each other.
